Our Philosophy
Kilmer Children's Centre provides each child with a safe, secure, and stimulating environment in which he/she feels free to explore with his/her world through play. In compiling our positive Daycare program, each child’s total development (physical, emotional, social and intellectual) as well as his/her individual needs and interests have been considered.
Our emphasis is not on a child’s successes or failures, but on what he/she gains in independence, self-confidence, self-control and sense of responsibility.
Through social interaction with others, children learn to understand and deal with his/her emotions, as well as learning to understand and deal with the emotions of others.
The child’s work is play and play is the medium through which a child learns. Therefore the fundamental goal of our Daycare setting is to provide each child with a rich and creative play experience.
